First of all, congratulations on your big news! I am sure it will be a wonderful journey for you, you may not think it now, but trust me once you've had the baby you will look back fondly of being pregnant.

I am sure people have already told you about all the things you will need while you are pregnant and I will do the same, lol. But you may be a bit unsure as to why your friends or family told you about the things they needed, I will explain exactly why I needed the items.

My pregnancy bible

So the first thing I bought was the book How To Grow A Baby And Push It Out by Clemmie Hooper. It is one of the bestselling pregnancy books on amazon here in the UK. If you are like me and started to panic a bit after you found out you are pregnant, then this book will put you at ease.

Clemmie Hooper is a midwife and mother so knows exactly what you are going through and what will happen to you in the next 9 months. The book has everything from what to pack in your hospital bag to why you may have some strange cravings.

If you want to make your pregnancy journey unforgettable then I recommend you get the pregnancy journal that accompanies How To Grow A Baby And Push It Out, this journal is by Clemmie Hooper as well.

The journal will be a wonderful keepsake to share with your baby and will even make a great present when your baby is a grown up.

If you want to keep a photo diary of your bump then I recommend you should get some milestone cards. They don't cost a lot and you will make some wonderful memories.

Obviously at some point you will have to buy maternity clothes. There are 2 kinds of maternity clothes, 1 is normal clothes and the other are nursing/maternity clothes. If you plan on breastfeeding then don't waste your money on normal maternity tops, because you'll only have to go out and buy nursing tops afterwards.

Another thing to consider getting while you are pregnant are nursing bras. My breasts did get very sore while pregnant so a friend suggested buying nursing bras and boy what a life-changer that was, it literally made me less grumpy wearing a nursing bra when I 5 months pregnant.

Sleeping can be very tough when you are pregnant, not only are you running to the toilet every few hours, but you will also have difficulty lying in a comfortable position. To make you more comfortable at night I recommend you get a pregnancy pillow. It will give you the right support and a lot more sleep.

There you have it, these are my top tips for making you pregnancy a little bit better. I hope I could help you.
